Magnalight Launches Explosion Proof Emergency LED Light

Magnalight of Larson Electronics declared the launch of the EPL-EMG-48-2L-LED explosion proof emergency LED light. This novel product has been specifically designed to offer emergency operation capability and explosion proof protection during power failure.

Magnalight’s Improved Hazardous Location LED Light Now Available

Resembling the two tube T5-HO fluorescent fixtures in construction, this hazardous location LED fixture, by using Magnalight’s specially designed LED T-series bulbs, demonstrates twofold increase in lumens. An 8 ft- extech light meter evaluates the illumination capacity of these bulbs to be 2.5 times more than that of 54 W T5-HO bulbs. Therefore, the explosion proof emergency light is more powerful than fluorescent lamps, besides being efficient.

The explosion proof emergency lights are robust, made of non-sparking aluminum, and are resistant to impacts and corrosion. The incorporated heat resistant Pyrex tubes in LED bulbs protect from dirt, dust, overspray and other contaminations. The lamp includes an integrally mounted battery backup system that generates light up to 90 min during power outages. Automatic recharge is activated by backup battery when the power supply is on, thereby preparing the system for further operation.

The explosion proof LED lights are approved Class 1 Division 1, UL 595 outdoor marine type and also paint spray booth approved. It is well suited for an extensive range of applications. The Epl-emg-48-2l-led operates efficiently with current ranges between 120 V and 277 V AC 50/60 Hz and is being offered in 12-24 V DC configuration that facilitates low voltage applications. A variety of mounting options are available at Magnalight such as surface mounting and pendant configurations. They can also be modified further based on the requirements.
