Everlight Electronics, a pioneer in the global LED industry, declared the launch of an array of Low/Mid Power LEDs optimized for solid state lighting.
The new Low/Mid Power LED array offers a total solution for all lighting applications. The novel Low/Mid Power LED series of Everlight is intended for omnidirectional bulb applications and light bar replacements.
The new series encompasses 0,06W, 0,4W, and 0,5W products, capable of operating at efficiencies more than 100 lm/W. These LEDs possess various form factors such as 3020 and 3528 (0.06W), 5050 (0.2W), and 5630 (0.4W and 0.5W) package sizes. The 3020 and 3528 (0.06W) packages are well-suited for light bar applications.
These small packages are compressed in a linear heat sink, thereby facilitating the right light uniformity of linear solutions. A linear LED light bar therefore can mimic the traditional fluorescent tubes in appearance. As the low power LEDs are compact, a lower thermal dissipation of linear fixtures is enough to balance the low junction temperature and the low substrate temperature within the LED. This promotes increased performance with durability. The application of low power LEDs are further advanced with Everlight’s 0.1V/bin for more consistent electrical design and 200 mcd/bin for intensity uniformity.
The general lighting market is further developed with the introduction of cost effective replacement A-bulbs. The 257 M A-bulbs is expected to be available in the global markets by 2013. However, the performance of Mid Power 5630 (0.4W and 0.5W) package exceeds all the other high power LED light sources and traditional COB, with its excellent lm/$. Excellent efficiency results from the combined effect of resources from general lighting and backlighting market.
