The uEye CP with USB 3.0 interface results from the successful production of USB-technology cameras with rapid data transfer rates over 10m distances, compared to GigE cameras.

This extensive range consists of three sensors, ranging from VGA to 5 MP resolutions. The new SuperSpeed USB provides high speed data transfer rates of 400 MB/s to the camera, thereby improving its efficiency. Compared to USB 2.0, the data transfer rate is increased by ten times with over four times the speed of the GigE interface. Using standard industrial cables, the data transmission distances of over 10 m is facilitated.
The existing USB 2.0 systems benefit from the downward compatibility of USB 3.0. The potential IDS software package for Windows and Linux with 32/64 bit drivers supports the USB 3.0 uEye CP camera series, leveraging the effective function of USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and GigE cameras automatically.
The significant features of this novel camera include a hardware gamma correction, 12-bit lookup table and a 12-bit color depth.
With its compact structure, light-weight, and mini USB 3.0 connector, the camera is ideal for a variety of industrial applications. The availability of two general purpose i/o modified to RS232 trigger and flash, support and stimulate peripheral devices. In addition, the USB bus generates power supply.
