Sony declared that it has devised the next-generation ‘Crystal LED Display’, a self-emitting display that offers a full HD, 55-in. prototype model to be showcased at the ‘2012 International CES’ to be held between January 10 and 13 at Las Vegas, Nevada. This innovative crystal display is the firm’s premier 55-in full HD self-emitting display that employs LEDs as the light source.
The Crystal LED Display is a self-emitting display that employs the firm’s innovative techniques to install ultra-fine LEDs with red-green-blue (RGB) colors, corresponding to the number of pixels. Usually, 6M LEDs are deployed for full HD. The anterior portion of the display is being deployed with RGB LED light source, thereby standardizing the efficiency of light utilization. Hence, images are produced with advanced contrast in dark and light backgrounds, improved video image response time, extended viewing angles and color gamut, with less energy utilization. The remarkable and appealing display structure of Crystal LED Display makes it the perfect option for large screens.
This novel 55-in Crystal LED Display currently being exhibited at CES surpasses all other LEDs due to its unique performance that include higher contrast of about 3.5 x in light environment, with 10 x more rapid video image response time and 1.4 x wider color gamut. An extensive array of applications is being offered by Sony’s Crystal LED Display, benefiting both customers and commercials. Apart from designing, developing and marketing organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays, the company will make Crystal LED Display readily available in the market.
