Being a recipient of the 2011 Allure Breakthrough Award in October 2011, the PaloVia laser is familiar with prestigious beauty awards. It has also been honored by NewBeauty, a national beauty industry magazine that exhibits the recent beauty products and spa treatments with suggestions from expert beauty professionals and dermatologists.
Palomar Medical Technologies, a producer of cosmetic lasers for plastic surgeons and dermatologists, developed the PaloVia Skin Renewing Laser.
Since 20 years, the laser skin treatment is being developed by Palomar. A global team of laser physicists and esteemed dermatologists from Palomar in the 1990s examined the non-ablative fractional laser treatments. In 2000, Palomar documented a patent application on this fractional laser technology and started marketing its products to the physicians. Following clinical studies for several years, Palomar received FDA clearance in 2009 for the first at-home fractional laser, which is clinically tested and proven to reduce wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes.
