Larson Electronics Launches Explosion- Proof Infrared LED Light

The EPL-SMLED-20W-1445 Explosion Proof Infrared LED Light is suitable for analytic applications like infrared spectroscopy due to its capacity to produce 1445 nm illumination in the infrared range.

EPL-SMLED-20W-1445

This 1445 nm infrared light cannot be observed by the naked eye, but is appropriate for key applications where chemical composition and molecular structures are subjected to observation and analysis. The extensive aluminum body is hermetic that has been examined to resist corrosion due to wet environments and salt water exposure. A flat substrate with the already existing mounting slots facilitates protected standard installation on flat surfaces. An aluminum alloy yoke regulates the light head up to 135° vertically. In this unit, the LED assembly includes two 10W infrared LEDs that are fixed within the lamp head, which can result in maximum output, thereby overcoming the lens diffusion.

The LED assembly is enclosed internally using a thermal shock and sealed with collision resistant glass lens for reliable and durable protection. The requirement of special filters or lenses that have been employed for incandescent or HID infrared lamps is eliminated with the introduction of the LED design of this explosion proof LED light. In addition, the LEDs in this lamp maintain cool operation, thereby minimizing accidental burns and reduce the complexity in operating hot incandescent portable lamps. Besides, rugged durability and cool operation, this infrared LED light offers lamp life up to 50,000 hours where typical incandescent lamps fail. This unit is designed to function with voltages ranging from 9 to 48V DC, is appropriate for corrosive environments and unsafe locations where low voltage electricity exists. The EPL-SMLED-20W-1445 explosion proof infrared LED light is categorized under Class 1 Division 1 approved, UL 1598 and UL 844 approved for marine environments.
