Appalachian Lighting Systems (ALSI) has declared the launch of embedded ALLink wireless control and monitoring, featuring the new version of the solid-state canopy light or parking garage series of the company.
The ALLED CL Series includes 21W, 33W and 41W fixtures that have been engineered to replace the high intensity discharge (HID) lights of 70- 175W for canopy lights and parking garage applications. Currently, this can be wirelessly monitored and controlled for power issue detection, light level scheduling, maintenance alerts, and smart metering.
The cost of lighting power and its maintenance includes 95 % of the total operating costs, as stated by the parking garage industry officials. The new ALLED CL LED lights controlled by ALLink offer 80- 90% of energy conservation compared to the replaced HID lights, thereby eliminating maintenance costs with minimized overall operational costs for parking facility operators and owners.
The chief executive officer of ALSI, David McAnally says that the quick shift to solid-state lighting with systematized wireless control and monitoring provides considerable minimization of costs for garage operators. The company’s next-generation ALLink control system is embedded in the DC region to prevent increased flow of current, thereby providing a wireless facility to enable a secure, sharp monitoring for garage operators and owners. During electrical failure, the garages need not be inspected as ALLink has an option in which it sends a maintenance alert to the operators through text message or e-mail.
