LED Waves, based in Brooklyn, apart from being an OEM, supplies customized and retrofit lighting products. Formerly, domestic production was restricted to projects for private OEM customers. However, this year marks the beginning of a new phase for the company.
LED Waves introduced a series of LED lights in 2011, designed, developed and assembled in the USA, and readily available to customers. LED Waves’ remarkable products in the USA include the Genesys LED T8 tube light. This product distinguishes itself from other tubes which replace fluorescent lights. This has been designed to resemble daylight, a modification made especially for workplaces that frequently use fluorescent lights.
LED light bulbs designed for common E26/27 sockets such as the Chicago PAR30 and the New York PAR38 LED light bulbs were also produced by LED Waves. These are incorporated with CREE XPG LED chips. This innovation exceeds the company’s previous models PAR30 and PAR38 in terms of LM/W and brightness.
The Midtown LED recessed down light supplements the LED Waves' American production series. Each 9 W fixture is equivalent to the 50 W halogen bulbs’ light output. Its duration extends to 30,000 hours, capable of operating for several years without the need for replacement.
The company intends to introduce a novel PAR20 LED light bulb in 2012 and anticipates producing a multi-directional substitute for the standard 60W incandescent bulb.
