TDK, a Japan-based global electronics company has declared its collaboration with Toshiba in order to create a huge bright Christmas scene using LED displays in Times Square at New York on one times square building.
The companies have created a digital image of a 40 m height decorated Christmas tree, which is displayed using LED display almost 120 m above the ground. By displaying this much admired and traditional Christmas tree’s image, the winter sky will be brightened and this will kindle the celebration mood for Christmas and New Year especially from December 5, 2011 to January 15, 2012. The digital image of the Christmas tree is set to run across the LED display at an interval of 15 minutes.
Since 2001, the LED signage developed on the One Times Square Building was utilized for performing various promotions designed to improve its corporate brand image. The TDK’s LED sign was entirely redesigned last year in order to establish its presence as an electronics components provider. During this year, TDK and Toshiba together combined their LED signage so as to complement the festive atmosphere of the Christmas season using a more dynamic image display, while marketing their respective corporate brands.
