Landscape Forms introduces LEO, the novel, advanced lighting adding to the company’s offering of outdoor LED lighting solutions. LEO includes both pedestrian lighting of 12-16 ft height and streetscape lighting of 20-25 ft height with a bright, aesthetic and authentic versatility.
This has been designed by industrial designer John Rizzi. It is a universal light, functioning in contrast scale and common style with an energy efficient LED technology and innovative optics, retrofit capability to poles in existing installations and visual compatibility with the Landscape Forms furniture products in contemporary and traditional settings.
A domed canopy of two different sizes is mounted at different heights on opposite sides of a single pole to efficiently illuminate adjacent pedestrian walkways and streets. LEO uses advanced high-efficacy LED light sources with a lifespan of 60,000 to 100,000 h producing more lumens with less wattage than conventional bulbs. It employs warm white LEDs liberating a more pleasant visual experience than cool white light. A Cyro-Acrylyte lens placed over the LED array alleviates and diffuses the light, providing an array of light with 85% light transmission, reducing light scatter, hot spots and glare and delivering more appropriate light levels for night vision within the peripheral range. The LEDs employed in LEO support Dark Skies, are void of mercury and lead, and uses 3500° K warm white LEDs that provide illumination similar to moonlight. The aluminum material for manufacturing LEO contains up to 70% recycled content and recyclable structural parts, and its polyester power coat finish is virtually HAPS and VOC free.
