Larson Electronics' Magnalight Reveals Solar Powered LED Beacon Release

The SPLED-CL1B-M solar powered LED beacon presents a perfect lighting solution for deployment in areas where normal power sources become scarce. The LED beacon on this unit is Class 1 rated, generating a brilliant radiance that is visible up to one mile, with 30 different flash modes, furnishing specific requirements.

This LED beacon is magnetically mounted and ideal for applications where a strong and effective signal beacon is needed yet normal power sources are either unavailable or inconvenient.

A single 100 lbs grip magnet integrated into the base of this unit offers a flexible mounting option that holds the beacon securely in place, sheltering from extreme conditions. The beacon is coupled to the solar panel and battery assembly by means of 20 ft of cord, allowing users to mount the panel and beacon separately so that the solar panel is located in an appropriate place for gathering sunlight.

The 15 in long by 13 in wide solar panel supplies charging power for an integral 14.8 V LiPoly battery and is designed to be towered on square or round poles or on flat surfaces such as walls. This solar powered light would continue working for 5 h or more on a single charge and the solar panel completely recharges the battery in 5 h on exposure to direct sunlight. Magnalight provides varied choices, which allow customers to employ this unit based on their needs including larger batteries, various beacon colors and units, and longer connecting cords. This powerful LED beacon is magnetically mounted and well suited for use in remote areas where a power source is unavailable with an effective signal that is basically maintenance- free in operation.
