Zhone Technologies, a provider of FTTx network access solutions has declared that it is partnering with Grand River Mutual Telephone, which is Missouri’s second largest autonomous operator, in order to construct a novel fiber network and to offer consistent and cost-effective high-speed Internet access, video services and VoIP to business and local subscribers.
The superior scalability and flexibility of the Zhone MXK platform offers active Ethernet, gigabit passive optical network (GPON), active ethernet (AE) and VDSL2 connectivity for service and network upgrades to FTTH, which has been shown in other related broadband projects. The greenfield fiber point-to-point (P2P) AE network, directed by Zhone’s MXK platform provides Grand River Mutual Telephone local clients with high definition digital video recorder (HD-DVR) content, multiple high-definition television (HDTV) connectivity channels and residential video streaming.
Zhone is highly experienced in monitoring multi-service access complications, which has resulted in the building of an extensive series of scalable FTTx solutions. The Company has already installed more than 2,600 of its IP MXK platforms with almost 150 service providers across 40 countries. It is entirely redundant is the first to concentrate on terabit access.
