Mighty Bright has developed an innovative LED lighting system for use in sewing machines. The new lighting concept was displayed at the International Quilt Market 2011, which was held in Texas between 29 and 31 October, 2011.
Portable LED Sewing Machine Light
The new sewing machine light is an energy-efficient system which is safe to touch as it does not get heated up from the outside. This light is a versatile system, which can be used for embroidery, stitching that demands detailing and also for ordinary stitching. This is a portable lighting which is flexible and detachable capable of providing pointed illuminations and lights up work areas that are difficult to see. The neck of the LED light measures 5.5 in. and can be adjusted such that hidden work areas or matching seams or dark fabrics can be illuminated. The base of the LED light is made adhesive and therefore can be mounted on any sewing machine. The light from the LED is particularly useful in lighting areas near the needle or where the seam is ripped. The light is detachable and hence can be switched between bases quite easily.
The new LED light is an addition to the eco-friendly, customer-specific product line that Mighty Bright offers. The components used to build the light are of the highest quality. The lens used in the light is of the optical grade and hence spreads the light evenly across the surface devoid of any hot spots. The intensity of the light emitted by the LED is 5 lumens and the colour is white. The light is powered with the help of a single AAA battery.
