Van Wagner Communications chooses D3 LEDs for constructing the LED Channel Letter display that will be shown at the MetLife Stadium, in New Jersey.
The Channel Letter displays were inaugurated in September during the 2011 NFL season. De has built two LED Channel Letter displays, the one that spells ‘MetLife’ measures 13 ft in height and 68 ft in width. The displays are positioned at the two ends of the stadium; five diode L-Cap sets are used for building them with a pitch of 50 mm. Both the displays are capable of changing colours, running solid, displaying animations and videos.
The managing partner of D3 revealed their plans of establishing their presence in the entertainment sector by taking advantage of the MetLife stadium installation of LED display. LED displays from D3 have been installed at a number of places in the world, significant installation being the one at Times Square at New York. The LED displays can be used in marquee systems, video walls, message boards etc. Some of the features of the LED display from D3 are front and rear serviceability, temperature sensors present in every module, simple replacement, light weight design and true element pixels. The TrueElement pixels provide enhanced colours and brightness, which has never been provided by any display.
