Panasonic’s X Series Lumix Micro System Lenses are Compatible with its Camcorder

Panasonic has announced that its recently launched X series Lumix Micro System lenses, which provide electrically driven zoom feature, can now be used with the AG-AF102EN Four Thirds Professional Camcorder. The camcorder uses a Micro Four Thirds lens mount and a Four Thirds image sensor.

Both the lens in the X series LUMIX G X VARIO PZ 14-42mm/F3 5-5.6 ASPH./POWER O.I.S (H-PS14042) and the LUMIX G X VARIO PZ 45-175mm/F4 0-5.6 ASPH./POWER O.I.S (H-PS45175) have the ability to provide zoom function to its users at the push of a button. When the 45-175mm zoom is used, video shooting can be done using an underwater housing or matt box since the zoom does not move externally. LUMIX G X VARIO PZ 45-175mm/F4 0-5.6 ASPH./POWER O.I.S (H-PS45175) uses the Multi Actuator Floating Inner Focus System, which has the ability to control three separate lens groups and can also achieve high contrast and resolution. It also comes with two aspherical lenses that have a length of 90mm and a weight of 210g thus making it very compact and light.

LUMIX G X VARIO PZ 14-42mm/F3 5-5.6 ASPH./POWER O.I.S (H-PS14042) has a length of 26.8mm² and weighs just 95 g thus making it even more lighter and compact. This has four aspherical lenses and the zoom lever is present on the barrel of the lens thus enabling stable zooming. The lens can be focussed manually also. Both the lens in the X series use a Nano surface coating in order to reduce flaring, ghosts and reflection. The lens also comes with a POWER optical image stabiliser which makes it easy to shoot pictures even under low light. The lens can suppress large slow movements through the POWER O.I.S and fast movements through the MEGA O.I.S.
