The 13th edition of the International Lighting Fair organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will be held from October 27 to 302011 at the Hong Kong Convention Exhibition Centre.
The main focus in this year’s event will be eco- friendly and energy saving lighting. To achieve this focus, the fair’s highlight will be LED and green lighting. Around 760 manufacturers are expected to display their latest innovations in the areas of LED and green lighting at the fair.
The Hall of Aurora, which showcases over 300 brands from 27 countries will also be the highlight of the event. Some prominent brands that will be featured in the Hall of Aurora are Osram, RICOH, Citizen, Bridge Lux, CREE, OPTILED, Midea, Fumagalli, Everlight, ASFOUR, Fulham, Viri Bright and Seoul Semiconductor. Apart from the Hall of Aurora the fair will showcase different zones such as the green lighting zone, household lighting,outdoor lighting,parts and components, lighting accessories, lighting management, design and technology and commercial lighting equipment.
The 5th edition of the Hong Kong Lighting Design Competition will also be held as part of the International Fair as a there is still high demand for style and design of the lights. The competition will be open to students as well and the entries that win will be displayed at the location of the fair. The international fair is the most important lighting event in Asia and offers exposure to around 2,500 lighting manufacturers to showcase their products. Various seminars on LED lighting will also be organised and a network reception will also be held so that businesses can gain more contacts.
