Powerwave Technologies Introduces Nexus FT4000 DAS

Wireless communication network solutions provider, Powerwave Technologies has announced that it has launched the Nexus FT 40000 Distributed Antenna System (DAS) which can be used in environments that involve single or multiple operators. The company has introduced this DAS as part of its portfolio of outdoor and indoor DAS solutions.

The DAS enables operators to provide broadband data services in places that both have high and low signal quality and at the same time have high rates of data usage since it combines a LTE pico base station and a Wi-Fi hotspot that can provide speeds of up to 100 Mbps per km2 for 100 users. The network can operate under temperatures ranging between -25 and +55°C and has no fans. The network has IP65 rating and has an IP65 enclosure that has been cooled passively. The DAS can be scaled up to quad bands from dual bands and comes with multiple input and output AWC bands of 700 MHz. Since the network also comes with a feed-forward multi-carrier amplifier technology it can help operators to upgrade into the 2G, 3G and 4G technology smoothly. The DAS also supports remote management of network through its NetWay Vision technology and has an optical link budget of 10 dBO.

The product enables operators to reduce their maintenance and operating costs by providing efficient quality of signal, increased capacity, eliminating network traffic and enabling its operators to provide faster services. Powerwave Technologies launched the DAS at the Wireless Infrastructure Show held at Texas from 3 to 6 October.
