Building on its extensive portfolio of awards and honors, MaxLite has received an “Honorable Mention” for its popular LED Edge-Lit Flat Panels, at the prestigious 2011 Lighting for Tomorrow Competition. MaxLite is a leading global manufacturer and marketer of energy efficient luminaires and lamps.
Since 2002, the Lighting for Tomorrow (LFT) competition has recognized the best of the new energy-efficient residential lighting products that are helping to transform the market for efficient lighting, including those with high consumer appeal and usage. All LED luminaires were evaluated by a diverse panel of expert judges, and judged based on their ability to produce high quality white light for their intended applications, while using less energy than comparable technologies.
As a past LFT winner, MaxLite was recognized for its LED FlatMax Flat Panel, and according to the award brochure, “The judging panel was particularly impressed with the performance of this fixture.”
Part of the FlatMax™ family of products, MaxLite’s LED Edge-Lit Flat Panels and the new Direct-Lit Flat Panels are available in 1’x4’, 2’x2’ and 2’x4’ and MRI styles, and deliver even, consistent lighting without shadows. Engineered for high performance and designed to lie in drop ceilings, the LED Panels are suitable for office, school, hospital and medical facility applications. The panels are fully dimmable and compatible with building controls, motions sensors, timers and daylight harvesting systems. Surface mount LED Flat Panels are also offered for interior ceilings or wall installations.
The LED Edge-Lit Flat Panels panels offer long life (50,000 hours or more than 13 years of long life based on 10 hours of use per day at L70 standards), high lumens (3262), a high 85 CRI (Color Rendering Index), and a CCT of 3500, while delivering a significant reduction in energy consumption, costs and maintenance. The winning 1’x4’ Edge-Lit LED Flat Panels use a nominal 60 Watts with a luminaire efficacy of 52 lumens per watt.
MaxLite’s FlatMax™ LED Edge-Lit Flat Panels and Direct-Lit Flat Panels are ET- and cETL-certified, RoHS compliant, and constructed without carbon emission, heat, UV/IR radiation or hazardous materials. LM79 data is available, along with IES files and photometrics. All are backed by a five year warranty.
