Moxa Launches its ICS-G7000 Series of Ethernet Switches

Taiwanese company, Moxa has launched its 10 Gb Ethernet Industrial Core Switch (ICS). The company has released the ICS-G7000 series of Ethernet switches which provides a high density of 24 ports.

The series includes ICS-G7826/G7828 Layer 3 and ICS-G7526/G7528 Layer 2 switches. The switches have the capability to accommodate four 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports. This feature helps in achieving high performance and its fanless design ensures durability.

The ICS series uses the SFP-10G series 10 Gb Ethernet SFP+ media modules which are swappable and which have a single port. This provides a network redundancy of 10GbE and uplink and downlink services of up to 10GbE. The switch can provide high bandwidth and compatibility to 10/100/1000X networks and provides integration of video, data, and voice on one network. The ICS series can be mounted on a rack measuring 19 in. and can operate at temperatures of up to 60°C. It comes with a warranty of five years and is compliant with UL 60950-1 and EN-50121-4. In order to ensure uninterrupted long distance communication, SFP slots have been provided to support three port combinations with a total of 28 fibre connections. The ICS series also adopts Moxa's Turbo Chain self healing technology and Turbo ring technology to provide more resilience in industrial networks. The switch also provides dual imaging for upgrades of firmware with a power input of 110/220 VAC.
