Epson Releases 2D and 3D Home Theatre Projectors with 3LCD Technology

Epson America has launched its first series of home theatre projectors with 2D and 3D Full HD 1080p features, and is equipped with the novel Home Cinema 5010/5010e and 3010/3010e, and the novel 3LCD PowerLite Pro Cinema 6010 for home movie lovers as well as custom installers.

Epson uses the novel Bright 3D drive technology to ensure an exclusive view and incorporates several value added features and performance to cater to home theatre needs.

Epson projectors deliver white light and increased brightness of a maximum of 2,400 lumens of color. The projector features decreased crosstalk, and split screen mode for viewing two pictures simultaneously or utilising the Internet and watching TV simultaneously and wireless installation options. The Home Cinema 5010/5010e and 3010/3010e and Pro Cinema 6010 provide superior quality in 3D and 2D performance as well as image production.

The Home Cinema 5010 and 5010e (wireless) and Pro Cinema 6010 characterise excellent contrast ratio up to 200,000:1, and white light output for excellent black levels delivering a bright and precise image. These projectors provide good quality and efficiency with Epson's FineFrame technology and Super Resolution technology for fine 2D mode video quality and fine frame interpolation, cinema filter characteristics for better color reliability and increased color space, and a Fujinon OptiCinema lens of 2.1 zoom ratios. To improve the 3D effect, they incorporate 2D to 3D conversion.

Home Cinema 3010 and 3010e (wireless) provides 3D effect with a maximum of 2,200 lumens of color, contrast ratio of up to 40,000:1 for excellent black levels and white light output. They incorporate two in-built 10W speakers.

Additional features of the projectors include five color modes in 2D and two color modes in 3D. Epson’s 230W Epson Twin Optics Reflection Lamp (E-TORL) provides brilliant light up to 6,000 lamp life hours.
