Emerson Network Power has added the LDS25 series, a new 25 W series, to its line of high efficiency power supply products for LED lighting.
The new series allows system installers and original equipment manufacturers to decrease their time-to-market. The LDS25 series has 120-277 V AC input range and output of 700 mA at 36 V DC. The constant voltage mode works with load currents ranging from 300 mA to 700 mA and in constant current mode from 36 V to 26 V. The constant voltage and current output modes have the capability of accommodating various types of requirements for LED applications. The output current can also be adjusted by users over its complete range.
The Emerson Network Power LDS25 power supplies feature an active power factor correction that enables the LDS25 to achieve a minimum power factor of 0.9. They have a typical conversion efficiency of 86%. It does not require forced air cooling. The supplies can be used for operations in temperatures ranging from -30ºC to 60ºC. The case temperature can range from -30ºC to 90ºC.
The LDS25 is supplied in cased versions with IP20 rating and as open-frame versions. The IP20 cased model measures 174.5 x 45.6 x 32 mm while the open frame model measures 147 x 42 x 28 mm. The supplies have a hot-wiring protection, which prevents any damage to the driver and LED circuits by limiting the increase in the rate of the output current.
The LDS25 series meets FCC part 15 conducted noise standards and complies with CISPR 15 requirement for EMI.
