The Larson Electronics’ Magnalight has released HML-5M-LED spotlight with magnetic base, providing powerful and consistent luminance under demanding professional conditions.
The handheld LED spotlight is capable of producing 3600 lumens and 1.6 A at 24V. The principle of LED spotlight is based on proven HML series of military spotlights of Magnalight, used in Afghanistan and Iraq for military operations. The handheld LED spotlights can operate at a voltage between 9 and 32VDC, producing a light beam which is of 1600’ long and 120 ft wide.
The Magnalight HML-5M-LED spotlight produces professional service, being an alternate to conventional HID equipped and halogen based spotlights. Magnalight features waterproof PAR 40 solid-state LED bulbs, producing more light utilizing less power. This ensures longer runtime without consuming much of battery power. The waterproof and UV resistant facility and the LED in the equipment provides extended and consistent use, while the 100 lbs grip magnetic base provides a safe and simple method of mounting the equipment to the metallic surface. Placing a light in a position is made easy with polypropylene handle and heavy garage steel handle bracket. The LED spotlight is available in different colors like blue, yellow, green, and red color with 850 nm and 940 nm, 12 W infrared versions for applications involving stealthy operations using night vision devices. Wide range power connections like 21 ft straight cord with battery clamps, 16 and 25 ft straight cords with a cigarette plug, 16 foot coil cord with cigarette plug, and 16 foot straight cord with battery ring terminals are available. Both the housing and LED lamp are US made and US compliant respectively, produces more light of good quality.
According to Rob Bresnahan, Larson Electronics’ Magnalight.com, the LED spotlight is the expansion of Force Kit gunners light, a 40 W LED light with magnetic base. About 50, 000 working hours can be obtained with the LED spotlight. He adds that the light covers a wide range at low amp draw.
