Intematix, a designer of patented phosphor materials and units for efficient LED lighting, receives its sixth patent for remote phosphor LED lighting from US Patent and Trademark Office. The new patent received will enable innovative designs thereby introducing a novel line of efficient LED lighting fixtures.
The recent patent awarded to Intematix is the fourth remote phosphor patent in the current year. As a company concentrating on commercial prospects of remote phosphor technology, Intematix awaits 85 remote phosphor patents worldwide, apart from the six issued US patents.
The ChromaLit product line of Intematix comprises a phosphor composition along with a blue LED source of light, enabling designers to use the products in outdoor as well as indoor applications. This product line provides flexibility in design aspects, efficiency in manufacturing processes, up to 30% increase in system performance and improved light quality. Intematix products boast of energy-efficient LED fixtures and bulbs, providing true colors and enhanced brightness. The new patent 7,972,030 titled “Light Emitting Diodes, LED Based Lighting Systems” talks about the applications of remote phosphor LED lighting for downlights, lamps, desk, lighting modules, wall sconces, floor standing, outdoor, spot and accent lighting fittings.
Initially, Intematix started developing LED phosphors and commenced development of technology to enable remote application of phosphors in the early 2000s. With streamlined research and application of design techniques on phosphor materials and phosphor technology for LED lighting, Intematix released ChromaLit units into the market in the beginning of this year.
