Digital Lightwave introduces the CSA 4100 module, a transport testing solution, which can support testing of OTN, 40G/100G SONET/SDH, and Ethernet.

In addition, the CSA 4100 module can support testing of Ethernet 41G and 103G,SONET/SDH 40G(STL – 256.4), and OTN 43G(OTL – 3.4) and 112G(OTL – 4.10) with the help of pluggable CFP modules. CSA interface testing is supportive of unframed BERT testing and framed PCS BERT for testing at all rates and Ethernet rates respectively.

The CSA 4100 module incorporated into its adaptable and powerful NIC platform is yet another revolution. The NIC platform is aimed at providing customer-oriented testing solutions, ensuring security to their investment.
The presently used portable five-slot NIC plus and rackmount NIC EP units, can be enhanced using the CSA module. A NIC unit is compatible with testing capacities ranging from 1.5 M/20 M to 100G/112G. Customers who require low capacity testing solution can purchase 10 Gbps or even lower digital lightwave NIC, and can enhance the NIC to 40G or 100G when required. The NIC also has licensed “Test Options” available to enable customers to add test features as required resulting in the NIC being a cost-effective transport testing solution. The Digital Lightwave product portfolio, including the CSA 4100 module is to be exhibited at the ECOC exhibition in Geneva.
