Evluma, a developer of environmentally friendly LED lighting solutions, has announced plans to launch PAR 64 LED ceiling lights, acorn fixture LED retrofits, Clearlight horticultural lamps, and low pressure sodium vapor equivalent lamps.
Evluma demonstrated prototypes of these products at The LED Show held in Las Vegas, in July this year. The company is conducting pilot and testing programs for these products.
The company’s PAR 64 LED light prototypes can replicate light color temperature ranges and patterns emitted by an incandescent PAR light. They are compatible with current wired dimmer circuits and are also dimmable wirelessly from 250 to 7 W. The LED light has a light engine with 8–16 source points and 8,000 to 20,000 source lumens. When the light is fixed with interchangeable optics, it has the capacity to provide candlepower equivalent to that of a 1000 W incandescent bulb. The LED lights are suitable for conference centers and ballrooms.
Evluma had earlier developed a customized Clearlight for Visco acorn fixtures used by the City of Issaquah. The company is also developing horticultural lamps that emit light in the blue (~450 nm) and red (~640 or 660 nm) spectrums that are critical for growth of plants. These lamps are more efficient than HID bulbs and provide energy conversion greater than 25% required for energy for plant growth.
Evluma has expanded its outdoor dusk-till-dawn Clearlight product line and announces availability of 17 W, 33 W and 50 W Clearlight Amber ‘Parks’ lamp. They are designed as a replacement for the dusk-till-dawn fixtures. They are ideal for astronomers and observatories as the lamp does not emit any light in the blue spectrum. The Clearlight Amber is being evaluated by the International Dark Sky Association for applications in the National Parks system.
