A media design and lighting company focused on creating dynamic architectural environments, Lightswitch Architectural has been chosen by New York-based architectural firm, Pei Partnership Architects for their Bank of China International Finance Tower project in Suzhou, China.
Lightswitch Architectural will provide comprehensive lighting solutions for the exteriors, interiors, banking halls, landscapes and event auditorium for the Suzhou project. The Bank of China Tower Project comprises two structures, a tower that stands 100m tall and a building situated between two canals is currently in design phase.
To reflect the strength of the banking giant, Pei Partnership Architects have set a distinctive plan for the project, based on clean lines and simplicity of design. Lightswitch will work in tandem with Pei Partnership for the integration of sustainable technologies and the balanced use of light for saving energy.
The principal designer at Lightswitch New York, Howard Werner stated that the Suzhou opportunity is a testimony to the company’s rising presence in Asia and abroad. Two groups of experienced designers from Lightswitch Architectural will work on the project. The Project Manager and Senior Designer will be Mauricio Lopez from their New York Office and the Senior Designer who would head the San Francisco team, would be Janelle Drouet.
