Supplier of commercial grade, superior performance LED replacement lights and strip lighting devices, Nexxus Lighting has been awarded two utility patents, viz., US Patent# 7,974,099 for Apparatus and Methods for Thermal Management of Light Emitting Diodes and US Patent# 7,960,921 for Current Regulator Apparatus and Devices.
The President and Chief Executive Officer of Nexxus Lighting, Mike Bauer stated that patent# 7,974,099 represents the selective heat sink process used to design the Array LED replacement lamps. The technology allows array LED products to attain maximum performance as compared to other heat sinking methods. Bauer added that patent# 7,960,921 encompasses the electrical current regulation used for Array LED lamps. It enables the light source to ascertain changes in thermal ambience and manipulate the light output and current levels in order to maintain a suitable thermal performance.
With the 2 new patents, the company currently holds 37 US and foreign patents as well as 30 patent pending applications related to the Lumificient and Array Lighting product offering.
Nexxus Lighting has also registered its Array trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office. The trademark signifies the continuing efforts to build the Array brand in the mind of consumer and commercial lighting customers.The Array brand is available in 1100 Lowe's stores in the United States.
