Village Podiatry’s new Atlanta laser center has introduced a clinically tested treatment, PinPointe FootLaser, to treat fungal infections of nails. PinPointe FootLaser was developed to particularly cure onychomycosis that causes unsightliness and discoloration of nails.
Generally, nail treatment is not an easy task because the infection occurs in the interior part of the nail and thus the other nail treatments find it difficult to reach the infected area and destroy the fungus. Also, the treatments including oral medications or application of medicated nail polish may cause harmful drug interactions or side effects to patients.
PinPointe FootLaser’s single treatment generally takes 30 mins and does not require any anesthesia and ensures immediate recovery. The CEO of Village Podiatry Centers, Dr. David Helfman stated that PinPointe FootLaser is an excellent innovation in providing treatment to patients suffering from fungal infections of nail for several years in spite of undergoing other treatments. Dr. Jason Morris was appointed as the director of laser division to launch the laser-based treatment program.
Dr. Morris stated that PinPointe FootLaser is the only clinical proven treatment that has succeeded in the battle to save patients from nail fungal infections. By establishing the laser center in Atlanta, large number of patients would be benefited by this effective treatment, he added.
