Manufacturer of open platform software, Milestone Systems and ImmerVision have jointly announced that Milestone has added the ImmerVision Enables lens panomorph support to the XProtect Enterprise 8 virtual machine.
Immervision’s panomorph lens could be mounted on cameras from manufacturers such as Panasonic, Sony, and Samsung for complete visual verification. The panomorph lens features a 360° viewing angle that eliminates blind spots with enhanced optical image sensor coverage. The viewing angle also aids in tracking individuals and for locating objects.
The panomorph lens, when integrated with XProtect Enterprise 8 solution, allows system operators to optimize security deployment, improve situational awareness, and enhance surveillance efficiency. ImmerVision’s CCO and Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing, Alessandro Gasparini stated that both the companies have utilized an open platform to attain superior versatility for the products. Milestone’s Vice-President of Strategic Alliances, Henrik Friborg mentioned that the 360° technology of the panomorph lens enables customers to enhance the surveillance coverage more effectively and efficiently.
The XProtect Enterprise 8 solution is suitable for multi-site deployments and has the XProtect Smart Client software application, which offers immediate access to recorded and live video.
