Avago Technologies, a company that supplies analog interface parts for industrial, communications and consumer applications, declared that it has released three series of oval through-hole, high-brightness, energy-saving LEDs that are suitable for electronic signage applications.
The RGB radiation pattern of LEDs is developed to deliver stable light and even color mixing from various angles of view. This integration allows sharp viewing quality with low consumption of power making it ideal for full-color signage applications such as stadium video screens, billboards, building video walls, and for commercial and roadway signage.
The HLMP-Lx75 and HLMP-Hx74/75 LED series deliver a 40º by 100º viewing angle, while the HLMP-Ax74/75 LEDs deliver 30º by 70º. The high luminous intensity and wide viewing angles of the LEDs ensure balanced performance for outdoor systems. The LEDs are equipped with an UV inhibitor to lower the impact of long-term exposure to sunlight. The LED package also delivers high resistance to humidity, thus making it suitable for outdoor applications.
Additional features of the new LED series include standoff packages for the entire product line and non-standoff packages for HLMP-Hx74/75 and HLMP-Ax74/75 LEDs. The LED series is lead-free and compliant with RoHS6 with diffused and tinted lighting features. It has an operating temperature range of -40° to +100° C for red LEDs and -40° to +85° C for green and blue LEDs. The LEDs have an electro-static discharge sensitivity of standard JEDEC Class 1C HBM.
