Illuminup Launches Universal Multi-Purpose Lite Mat

The San Jacinto-based manufacturer and developer of LED-powered floor mats, Illuminup has announced the release of the Universal Multi-Purpose Lite Mat. The flexible mat has a variety of applications ranging from outdoor welcome mat to patio lighting.

The LED-powered multi-purpose mat incorporates Illuminup’s in house LED SunStruck technology. The ultra-efficient mat is designed using polypropylene, which is a 100% recyclable. The mat has beveled 2.5” edges and measures 36.5” x 15.75”. 96 LEDs are held in place due to a distinctive dovetail design.

The inventor of the multi-purpose LED mat, Gary Hardesty stated LED technology helps achieve better illumination, lower cost and higher efficiency as compared to other traditional sources of light. He added that it can be used to protect homes and also be used to assist while working on problems related to motorcycles, trucks or cars. Hardesty also added a small note about the durability of the mat by stating that the LEDs can be used for a guaranteed 50,000 continuous hours, which places the product life span at 10-15 years.
