Digi-Key, a distributor of electronic components, has inked a global distribution contract with Intematix, a developer of LED lighting solutions.
Intematrix develops LED lighting solutions using the phosphor technology. Unlike traditional LED designs where a phosphor compound is coated on blue chips, Intematrix’ ChromaLit Collection has a blue LED energy source that is separated from the phosphor composite. This architecture offers high system efficiency, efficient manufacturing processes and good design freedom.
VP of Digi-Key’s Semiconductor division, Mark Zack stated that ChromaLit products improve the radiation patterns and efficiency that is required by designers. He added that the company is pleased to add Intematrix to its Solid State Lighting base. Digi-Key uses sophisticated technologies and processes to serve its customer base from the Minnesota facility.
Intematix’ Director of Marketing, Julian Carey mentioned that ChromaLit, when combined with Digi-Key’s LEDs and drivers, offers luminaire manufacturers and designers swift access to latest solutions.
