NEC Display Solutions of America has developed a Single Board Computer option card, the N8000-8330.
The technology is based on Intel’s OPS (open pluggable specification), which aims at standardizing the development and design of digital signs installed in public venues.
The N8000-8330 option card has been designed for specific NEC V, P and X Series displays and features an integral expansion slot, Windows Embedded Standard 7 and a hard drive of 320 GB capacity.
NEC Display Solutions’ President and COO, Pierre Richer stated that as a standard for digital signage across the industry, Intel’s OPS simplify the maintenance and use of digital signage.
The NEC N8000-8330 was displayed at InfoComm 2011 at booth no. 1901 from 15-17 June at the Orange County Convention Center in Florida.
