NEC Releases Medical Display for Hospitals

Provider of LCD display solutions, NEC Display Solutions of America has introduced a MultiSync MD215MG display for Picture Archiving and Communication System and medical imaging in urgent care centers, doctor offices and hospitals.

The 21” medical diagnostic display incorporates various technologies that enable healthcare employees to work in a productive manner.

The display has a brightness of 1100cd/m² and provides out-of-the-box digital imaging and communications in medicine calibration (DICOM). The uniformity control, incorporated by the display, offers precise imaging across monitors and the screen. The medical display also provides an internal 11.9-bit lookup table, DC power connection, an inbuilt USB hub, and a four-way ergonomic stand. It has an inbuilt ambient light sensor that adjusts the display’s brightness automatically. The display is also compliant with CE-MDD 93/42/EC and RoHS specifications.

NEC’s Product Manager for Professional Desktop and Medical Displays, Art Marshall stated that the display provides customers a 5 MP product to combine with their healthcare facilities. He added that the display is also suitable for doctor’s offices and radiology departments.
