Manufacturer of laboratory scientific instruments, Phytronix Technologies and AB SCIEX are jointly working on expanding the choices for lab analysts and scientists focused on food safety testing, forensic toxicology, and pharmaceutical applications.
Both the firms are combining the AB SCIEX TripleTOF 5600 System with the LDLD (laser diode thermal desorption) ion source of Phytronix to provide precise mass market a better choice. The firms have offered information about the LDTD-MS/MS combination at the American Society of Mass Spectrometry seminar.
The integration will offer the newest advancement in mass spectrometry for high-throughput applications. The TripleTOF 5600 system provides fast and sensitive mass spectrometer solution for quantitative and qualitative analysis. The integration will benefit the AB SCIEX mass spectrometry folder and will enhance the workflow throughput using high sensitivity throughput solutions.
Phytronix’ President, Jean Lacoursière stated that the integration provides a tool for food safety analysis, forensics, clinical research, and drug recovery. The LDTD ion source releases a sample by a swift laser thermal desorption procedure into an MS/MS and ionizes it through atmospheric pressure chemical ionization.
