Research and Markets has added a report from Frost and Sullivan titled, “Endoscope Products for the Gastrointestinal (GI) and General Surgery (GS) Procedures in the Vietnam Market” to its offering.
The report covers key reports such as decision support database, endoscopy products in general surgery, endoscopy products in gastrointestinal procedures, market engineering measurements, Vietnamese healthcare market overview, market trends, research objectives and methodology and executive summary.
The increasing awareness of the advantages of endoscopy among patients and gastrointestinal specialists has allowed growth in the surgical and endoscopy products in Vietnam. The country’s Ministry of Health has awarded enhanced autonomy to the public hospitals to procure medical devices that include endoscopy products. Public hospitals can also apply for bank loans, in order to purchase the necessary products. In cities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, a substantial amount of time is taken by patients to consult doctors because of the long patient queues. An analyst of the research service stated that numerous hospitals and private clinics have mushroomed in recent years. These hospitals offer enhanced healthcare and decrease the stress on state hospitals.
The surgical and endoscopy products in Vietnam are making good progress despite some challenges. High inflation in the country has caused the government to hold back development projects. This has affected the medical equipment and healthcare expenditure market. Moreover, very few doctors carry out endoscopy procedures in Vietnam. There has not been an increase in endoscopic specialists because of the limited availability of facilities in the country. Despite these hindrances, the endoscopy market will increase as the country’s gross domestic product has been increasing.
