Johnson Unveils Sheave Alignment Laser Levels to Reduce Repair Expenses

Manufacturer of construction measuring tools, Johnson Level & Tool has introduced two sheave alignment laser levels that are utilized by operations, repair, and maintenance professionals to lessen repair expenses.

Johnson Sheave Alignment Laser

Sheave alignment lasers lessen the repair expenses by increasing the life of equipment bearings and belts. They are two of the ten laser solutions provided by the company. The laser levels come with either a green or red laser beam subject to the requirement of the professional.

The sheaves are aligned by altering the location from where the laser hits the targets. The laser is mounted on one sheave whereas the target hit by the laser is mounted on the other sheave. The aligned sheaves decrease the bearing and belt wear, in addition to decreasing the probability of the belt being thrown away by the drive mechanism. The lasers levels are precision machined and its accuracy makes it suitable for drive belt alignment.

The company’s VP of Sales & Marketing, John Dwyer stated that the sheave alignment lasers are convenient to mount because of its sturdy rare earth magnets. He added that the lasers can adapt to an array of sheave designs and belt styles and can be utilized in both outdoor and indoor locations.
