Vision-Sciences, developer of endoscopic products, has inked a three-year device supply partnership with Novation.
5000 Series Endoscopy System
The agreement will enable the members of Provista, University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), and VHA to access Vision-Sciences' endoscopy solutions that use the EndoSheath technology. Novation is a healthcare supply contracting firm for the members of Provista, two health care alliances, UHC, and VHA.
The partnership encompasses Vision Sciences' series of flexible endoscopes that are provided to the US market. The endoscope series includes the company’s 5000 Series video solutions that are used for bronchoscopy, esophagoscopy, stroboscopy, and laryngoscopy.
The 5000 Series endoscopy products enable endoscopic imaging based on CCD with an integrated video processor. The endoscopy’s design offers high device portability in any healthcare environment. The 4000 and 5000 series endoscopy devices use EndoSheath technology, which is a throwaway barrier that offers enhanced practice efficiency and improved safety. The technology offers a microbial barrier between the patient and the endoscope. It integrates the reusable endoscope with a disposable barrier and enables an endoscopic device for the practitioner. It offers simplified disinfection and cleaning routines and exposes the healthcare staff to less toxic chemicals.
