NEC Launches LCD Displays with Internal Temperature Sensors

In addition to the two models, the company has also launched the P462-TMX4D, P462-AVT, P402-TMX4D, and P402-AVT models to its P Series display range.

The LCD displays incorporate a fan-based technology to avoid overheating and include temperature sensors with self-diagnostic capabilities. The P462 and P402 models are suitable for use in retail stores, healthcare facilities, public information environments, airports and quick-service restaurants. Both the models include an expansion slot that complies with the open pluggable specification (OPS). They also feature a DVI loop-through capability and the DisplayPort output. The DVI loop-through capability eradicates the requirement of a daisy chain unit. The displays have a carbon footprint meter that evaluates the preservation of green gas emissions.

NEC’s Product Manager for Large-Screen Displays, Rachel Karnani stated that the display series is suitable for digital signage projects that need integrated technologies.
