A manufacturer of LED lighting solutions, Lighting Science Group announced that it has manufactured one million LED lights in the first quarter of 2011.
The company’s LED solutions have been used in various places such as the Times Square Ball, the International Space Station, and military deployments. The lights comply with ENERGY STAR requirements and are used in various cities such as Washington D.C., Salt Lake City, Mexico City, and Dallas have also used the lighting solutions. They are also utilized in restaurants like Starbucks and retail chains like Yankees.
Lighting Science Group’s CEO, Jim Haworth stated that the company is delighted at manufacturing one million lights at the year’s first quarter. He added that the company also managed to produce and sell 1 million LED bulbs in the second half of 2010. Lisa P. Jackson, head of the ENERGY STAR program, mentioned that the LED bulbs prevent hazardous emissions from entering the air. The bulbs also generate job opportunities for American workers and reduce electricity expenses for American families.
