Sunovia Energy Technologies’ Aimed Optics LED luminaires have been selected by Sarasota City for its energy saving project. The city will install the Aimed Optics luminaries as substitutes for nearly 200 conventional landscape lights and streetlights.
With the installation of the energy-efficient LED illumination technology of EvoLucia, the lighting division of Sunovia, Sarasota City will decrease its overall energy usage by 60%, while achieving better return for its investment. The deployment of the Aimed Optics LED luminaires is planned to commence this month across the St. Armand's Circle and the Ringling Bridge Causeway.
The project is one among the many of such projects that are being deployed by Sarasota County to achieve its green initiative objectives, while reducing energy costs. Energy service provider (ESCO), Siemens Building Technologies stated that the LED products are widely selected as the ultimate option for ESCO projects as they offer energy efficacy, durability and require less maintenance.
Both Siemens and Sarasota City identified that the Aimed Optics provide better lighting efficacy and energy savings when compared to competitive products, resulting in their selection for the project. EvoLucia SCHX5 cobra head luminaire of Sunovia recently received the Best Outdoor Fixture award from the Department of Energy.
Siemens’ Gary Kreisler commented that due to its LED advancements and superior products, EvoLucia’s LED technology have been selected by Siemens for its energy-saving projects.
