Luminus Devices, a developer and manufacturer of solid-state light sources for indoor and outdoor lighting, and T-Opto, a provider of LED-based light modules and engines, have introduced a high output SoloLux LED module designed for lighting applications requiring high lumens.
From a single source, the SoloLux module can produce 6,500 lumens, making it suitable for outdoor and indoor installations including roadways, parking areas, canopies, high ceiling and high bay down lights. The LED module can be used in applications that normally use a metal halide source of 175 W.
Based on Luminus Devices’ Big Chip LED technology, the SoloLux LED module is an upgradeable solution and enables customers to design and develop innovative fixtures. Indirect lighting fixtures that prevent multi-source shadowing and have a low glare can also be developed.
The SoloLux has an electrical interface for fixing to standard ballasts and integrated heat sinking features. The module has been introduced in color temperatures that range from warm to cool. Attainment of accreditations including ULIP66, UL1598 and LM-79 are in the process.
