LUXIM Introduces Light Emitting Plasma Product at LIGHTFAIR International

LUXIM, a developer of Light Emitting Plasma (LEP) technology, has displayed its 45,000-lm, ultra bright light source called the STA 60 at the LIGHTFAIR International in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The STA 60 is the new LEP product that has an output twice than that of the STA 41 light source of LUXIM. The latest product leverages the company’s product portfolio and expands the light source choices available to fulfill the unique demands of the customers.

The STA 60’s form factor and size are nearly the same as that of STA 41. Thus, STA 60 can be used in luminaires developed for the STA 41. LUXIM offers STA 60 in a warmer 4500 K correlated color temperature (CCT) version and a 5500 K CCT version.

Similar to the STA 41, the STA 60 reduces energy consumption by 50%and has an operating life of 50,000 h and is dimmable down to 20%. It is a the better cost-saving lighting solution available in the market for ultra-output purposes such as huge distribution centers, big-box retailers, parking lots and city streets. It is also ideal for the promising grow market.
