Lighting Science Group Adds Omnidirectional Bulbs to DEFINITY LED Bulb Line

Lighting Science Group, a company into design, development, manufacture and sale of energy efficient and environmentally- friendly LED lighting solutions, has expanded its line of lasting DEFINITY LED bulbs.

The company will launch high output, low-cost, long-lasting BR30/40 bulbs, and 40 and 60W equivalent omnidirectional LED bulbs in a range of colors at the 2011 LIGHTFAIR International. The expanded DEFINITY LED bulb line also includes vanity, spot and flood lights.

Lighting Science Group’s 60W equivalent LED bulb is designed as a direct replacement for incandescent bulbs. The U.S. market sells over 425 million incandescent bulbs of 60W capacity every year.

The LED bulbs produced by Lighting Science Group are environmentally -friendly, completely recyclable and do not contain any mercury, which compact fluorescent lamps contain. The DEFINITY LED bulbs are dimmable, can be switched on instantly, and are 75% more efficient when compared to traditional bulbs. The company has also received ENERGY STAR approval for many of its DEFINITY LED bulbs.
