NEC Display Solutions of America, designer and provider of commercial- and professional-grade LCD displays, LCD monitors, digital cinema projectors, and integrated solutions, has introduced a 30” widescreen medical diagnostic display for healthcare facilities and doctor offices.
The MultiSync MD301C4 display is designed for medical Picture Archiving and Communication Systems and imaging. It has automatic luminance control that enables consistent brightness of 350 cd/m² and an ambient light sensor that has the ability to adjust the brightness of the display depending on the changing lighting conditions. To compensate for variations in luminance and color/grayscale, the display has a Digital Uniformity Correction feature.
NEC’s MD301C4 display allows portrait and landscape modes and has multi-directional controls. To enable high-definition renderings of images and sharp display of color differences and delicate shadings, the LCD display has 14-bit 3D internal programmable lookup tables.
The 4-megapixel color display can emulate 2-megapixel displays and simultaneously controls two computers. It also has DICOM calibration, DVI-D inputs, USB hubs, and DisplayPort inputs. NEC Display offers GammaCompMD QA software and an optional color calibration sensor, MDSVSENSOR2, to improve the performance of the display unit. The LCD display is RoHS compliant and has CE-MDD 93/42/EC and Ul60601-1 medical certifications.
