Pioneer in commercial LCD projector and display systems, NEC Display Solutions of America has expanded its X Series with the introduction of an ultra-slim LCD display called the X551UN. The display is engineered for round-the-clock operation in numerous video wall applications.
The 55” X551UN, with LED backlighting technology, enables for mercury-free parts, enhanced power saving and uniformity. It is better than the company’s proven 46" X62UN. The new display has a distance of 5.5 mm between two adjacent displays’ active screen areas. It is NEC’s third model in the X Series to endorse Intel’s Open Pluggable Specification choice slot that facilities deployment, utilization and maintenance of digital signage.
The X551UN has a resolution of full 1080-pixel HD and brightness of 500 cd/m². It consumes 190 W of power and features TileMatrix technology for video walls of up to 100 displays. Its network communication and control feature enables greater level of distant display management and its integrated closed captioning allows display and decoding of text data from a video source.
The X551UN features sealed panel configuration to comply with digital signage industry specifications. It is a commercial-grade LCD display unit with sophisticate thermal protection features. It has RS-232C and digital loop through to allow daisy chain functionalities and multi-display control. It has a contrast ratio of 4000:1 and enables complete digital connectivity with Ethernet, DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort.
