World’s First Integrated Optical Biosensor for Disease Diagnosis

Biomagnetics Diagnostics, a medical device company that develops diagnostic systems for detection of hepatitis, HIV, cholera, malaria and tuberculosis, has received an integrated optical biosensor for disease diagnosis from the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

The new system is the first of its kind in the world. It has the capability to diagnose a wide variety of diseases within a few minutes. The device is easy to use and even medical personnel with relatively less training can perform the diagnosis.

Biomagnetics has developed the integrated sensor in collaboration with the Los Alamos National Laboratory. It now plans to commercialize the technology and use it for clinical trials .
