Pioneer in networked building intelligence and LED lighting controls, Redwood Systems proclaimed that it has been selected to offer lighting control solutions for the entire LED luminaires at Volkswagen Group’s Electronics Research Laboratory in Belmont, California.
This is Redwood Systems’ fourth project in April 2011. The other three projects are Fenwick & West, Atheros Communications and Johnson Controls.
Volkswagen will achieve enhanced lighting control and significant energy savings at the facility by utilizing Redwood Systems’ intelligent lighting solution. In order to meet the energy demands of its research laboratory, Volkswagen selected the intelligent lighting control system to obtain optimum energy efficiency from its LED luminaires.
In addition to energy saving, the lighting control system will offer unique applications such as flawless dimming control from smart phones. This feature enables customers to use smart phone as a control device to manage illumination levels. The easy-to-install control system reduces the payback period of LED deployments.
According to Burkhard Huhnke, who works as Executive Director of Electronics Research Laboratory at Volkswagen Group, Redwood’s efficient and versatile lighting control solution will enable the company to achieve its environmental objectives quickly.
The Principal at Whitney Polcyn Architects, David Whitney stated that Redwood’s advanced solution reduces both time and expenditure required for deployment.
