Redwood Systems, a supplier of building-performance lighting solutions, declared the expansion of its product line to suit all types of lighting fixture applications.
The Redwood platform, renowned for its LEDs, is now proficient to offer an extended array of affordable, energy-efficient lighting environment. Besides supporting LEDs, the new addition will promote the industry’s varied light fixtures such as HIDs, fluorescents, and CFLs.
With LED installations anticipated to become popular among the commercial building market in future, the LEDs at present are being retrofitted with other lighting sources. The ability to offer intelligent lighting control in such integrated environments has become complex and limited. This innovative solution from Redwood offers quality energy-efficiency products with a series of building intelligence applications including temperature sensing, security alerts and space utilization reporting. The new Redwood product has been optimized for legacy lighting sources, thereby facilitating customers with highly developed LEDs.
Redwood’s new product contribution includes two components such as the Redwood Sensor and the Redwood Universal Gateway. The Redwood Universal Gateway leverages the operation of fixtures and transmits 0 V-10 V output signal to dimmable ballasts, thereby controlling one or two external relays. The Redwood Sensor assembles temperature, occupancy and collects light level data, and is capable of extending up to 14 different sensor types. Upon installation, the Redwood Sensor links with the Universal Gateway to transmit the data to the Redwood Engine, Redwood platform’s core, for control and reporting.
