Umicore to Launch GASIR Standards for Thermal Imaging Applications

Umicore Electro-Optic Materials will launch a new set of GASIR® standard assemblies for cost sensitive low and high volume thermal imaging applications. The new GASIR® standard assemblies will be launched at SPIE Defense, Security, and Sensing 2011 and expand Umicore’s existing range of standard infrared lenses.

GASIR® standard assemblies offer a high quality image together with excellent athermal properties that are typical for GASIR® glass.

SPIE Defense, Security and Sensing will take place in the Orlando World Center Marriott, Orlando, Florida, USA from April 25 to 29. The new GASIR® standard assemblies will be displayed on the Umicore booth #717 of the exhibition (April 26-28).

GASIR® optical assemblies are used by AXIS Communications in the AXIS Q19 thermal camera series. AXIS communications is the global market leader in network video. Umicore is happy to add AXIS Communications to its list of high volume thermal imaging camera customers
